Itinerary

An expert Egyptologist will take you to start your One Day Aswan Sightseeing Tour in an air-conditioned vehicle.

📍 High Dam
Start your day with Respect Egypt Tours by visiting the High Dam. The dam was built in the 1960s to control the flooding of the Nile River and generate hydroelectric power.

📍 Philae Temple
Take a short boat ride from the High Dam to the island of Philae, where you'll find the beautiful Philae Temple. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, this ancient temple was relocated to its current location on Philae Island after the construction of the High Dam caused the original temple to become submerged.

📍 Unfinished Obelisk
After visiting Philae Temple, head to the nearby Unfinished Obelisk. Despite its abandonment because of cracks in the rock, this large obelisk provides a fascinating glimpse into how ancient Egyptians built obelisks.

📍 Nubian Museum
After a morning of exploring ancient sites, take a break and visit the Nubian Museum. Nubians have lived in the region for thousands of years, and this museum showcases their history and culture.

📍 Felucca Ride
End your One Day Aswan Sightseeing Tour with a relaxing felucca ride on the Nile River. These traditional sailing boats are a fantastic way to take in the river's beauty.

You can customize your tour with Respect Egypt Tours based on your interests and time constraints. We will return you to your hotel after this One Day Aswan Sightseeing Tour.

Night Cairo tour with Respect Egypt Tours

Feb 2026 • Friends

We had the absolute best experience with our guide, Reda. From the very beginning, she was warm, organized, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought so much depth and context to everything we saw, but explained it in a way that was engaging and easy to understand, not overwhelming. Reda struck the perfect balance between professional and personable. She made us feel safe, taken care of, and genuinely excited to be there. You could tell she truly loves what she does, and that passion made the entire experience unforgettable. She was attentive to our questions, mindful of our pace, and always one step ahead, whether it was navigating crowds, sharing historical insight, or making sure we were comfortable. Having her as our guide elevated the entire trip. If you get the chance to tour with Reda, take it. She was simply great.

A great guide working for a great tour company

The pre-tour customer service support was the best I’ve experienced for a day trip in a dozen years of travel – highly responsive and clear – including accommodation of my late modification to the itinerary. My thanks to Nada. My guide on a private tour to the GEM and Old Cairo Museum, Laila, is young but knows her subject matter and explains things well. Often with day trip guides you can tell that they know the script but are less comfortable with broader or deeper questions. That is not true of Laila. She has put in the homework needed to know Egypt’s extensive history. She really knows her way around both museums, too, which helped maximize my time. And she has a friendly, casual style that makes her comfortable to be with for a full day. I would not hesitate to request her for another tour. Our driver, Ayman, was excellent. He called me at the hotel the day before the tour to confirm the pick up time. I’ve never had that happen on any other tour. It was a nice touch. On the drive he was good at pointing out local sections of Cairo and landmarks, and was deft at getting off the main road and cutting through a residential section to pick up our guide (it was interesting to see neighborhoods up close).

Great trip !!

Our group of four had an excellent visit to Egypt in mid January, thanks to Respect Egypt Tours. We had built a custom tour for four family members to pick us up at the airport, secure visas, get around Cairo and Luxor, take us to all the must-see sites, and generally babysit us. This tour company exceeded our expectations. Our guides were Wael in Cairo and Ahmad in Luxor, both skilled, knowledgeable and very friendly. The Respect Egypt Tour coordinator, Nada, was more attentive before and during the tour than any I have ever worked with. We highly recommend this company to all who want some hands on when they visit Egypt.

Answers of the questions you're thinking about

Have a Question?

A good starting point would be the massively impressive Philae Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Isis and can be reached by a pleasant boat ride. Proceed to the Unfinished Obelisk which will provide an understanding of the stone-cutting skills employed by the ancients. Afterward, see the Aswan High Dam, which was a man-made wonder that controlled the Nile. In the afternoon, have a nice and easy felucca ride on the Nile enjoying nice views of Elephantine Island and the Botanical Garden. End your day by exploring the charming Aswan Souk, where you can buy crafts, spices, and souvenirs. Respect Egypt Tours can easily plan such an itinerary for you so that it is rich and stress-free.

Aswan is famous for its remarkable culture, beautiful views of the Nile River, and important historical places. It has the Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Aswan High Dam. The city further has great significance for Abu Simbel’s temples and is known for its lively Nubian culture and crowded markets.

To appreciate what Aswan offers, a stay of around 2 to 3 days is enough. This period suffices to visit some of the city’s historical sites, go for a sailing trip in a felucca on the Nile, visit a Nubian village, and take a day excursion to Abu Simbel. Respect Egypt Tours tailors its itineraries according to this duration to make sure the tourists don’t miss out on anything during their stay.

Indeed, Aswan is a delightful city to walk in, particularly along the Corniche, with its magnificent views of the Nile. Walking gives you a chance to see local shops, cafes, and places of interest in a relaxed manner. However, if you want to visit places like the Philae Temple or the Unfinished Obelisk, use transportation. Respect Egypt Tours has guided walking tours and vehicles that further assist your exploration of the region.

At Respect Egypt Tours, we focus on delivering real and educational experiences. Our professional tour guides, custom-made plans, and great attention to detail make your trip across the marvels of Egypt easy and unforgettable. We take care of all activities so that you can embrace the extraordinary landscapes and the unique culture of this remarkable country.

The ideal time to visit Aswan is between October and April when the weather is cooler and more comfortable for exploration. This period allows for pleasant experiences as you engage with the vibrant culture and scenic beauty of Aswan.
