Night Cairo tour with Respect Egypt Tours

Feb 2026 • Friends

We had the absolute best experience with our guide, Reda. From the very beginning, she was warm, organized, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought so much depth and context to everything we saw, but explained it in a way that was engaging and easy to understand, not overwhelming. Reda struck the perfect balance between professional and personable. She made us feel safe, taken care of, and genuinely excited to be there. You could tell she truly loves what she does, and that passion made the entire experience unforgettable. She was attentive to our questions, mindful of our pace, and always one step ahead, whether it was navigating crowds, sharing historical insight, or making sure we were comfortable. Having her as our guide elevated the entire trip. If you get the chance to tour with Reda, take it. She was simply great.

A great guide working for a great tour company

The pre-tour customer service support was the best I’ve experienced for a day trip in a dozen years of travel – highly responsive and clear – including accommodation of my late modification to the itinerary. My thanks to Nada. My guide on a private tour to the GEM and Old Cairo Museum, Laila, is young but knows her subject matter and explains things well. Often with day trip guides you can tell that they know the script but are less comfortable with broader or deeper questions. That is not true of Laila. She has put in the homework needed to know Egypt’s extensive history. She really knows her way around both museums, too, which helped maximize my time. And she has a friendly, casual style that makes her comfortable to be with for a full day. I would not hesitate to request her for another tour. Our driver, Ayman, was excellent. He called me at the hotel the day before the tour to confirm the pick up time. I’ve never had that happen on any other tour. It was a nice touch. On the drive he was good at pointing out local sections of Cairo and landmarks, and was deft at getting off the main road and cutting through a residential section to pick up our guide (it was interesting to see neighborhoods up close).

Great trip !!

Our group of four had an excellent visit to Egypt in mid January, thanks to Respect Egypt Tours. We had built a custom tour for four family members to pick us up at the airport, secure visas, get around Cairo and Luxor, take us to all the must-see sites, and generally babysit us. This tour company exceeded our expectations. Our guides were Wael in Cairo and Ahmad in Luxor, both skilled, knowledgeable and very friendly. The Respect Egypt Tour coordinator, Nada, was more attentive before and during the tour than any I have ever worked with. We highly recommend this company to all who want some hands on when they visit Egypt.

Khan El Khalili is much more than a market— it’s a cultural immersion! This market teems with the history of Cairo, with splashy stalls selling everything from rings to spices lining the narrow lanes. For tourists keen on the Egyptian way of life and looking to haggle for memorabilia or seeking out El Fishawy, the oldest café in Cairo, which is a fine sample of an Arab-style coffee shop, this is the place to be.

The bazaar is considered to be great especially because it covers so many streets in the center of Islamic Cairo. With hundreds of shops and vendors, you can easily lose yourself for hours in its many armature forms, getting turned around and finding nooks and crannies full of interesting things and people. From fabric to relics, Khan El Khalili has it all.

Absolutely! A visit to Khan El Khalili is an unforgettable experience, offering a true taste of local life. Whether you're looking for keepsakes, traditional crafts, or just want to enjoy the charm of historic Cairo, this bazaar is a highlight of any trip. The energy, history, and diversity make it a must-see destination.

Khan El Khalili is a popular market in the heart of Cairo whose origins date back to 1382 AD. Emir Djaharks El Khalili built it as a caravanserai which provided rest and trading for traders and travelers. It has in history developed to be the most popular bazaar in Cairo Egypt and still today, it is one of the most popular Egyptian landmarks.

Respect Egypt Tours has experts, personalized tours that will make you appreciate the exciting history and culture of Egypt. With flexible schedules and Egyptologists as your guides, Nothing beats experiencing Egypt's Weather state of The Art Khan El Khalili, The Great Pyramids, or a Nile Cruise around the historic cities.

The best time to visit Khan El Khalili is in the late afternoon or early evening when the market is lively, and you can enjoy the cooler temperatures. It's also the perfect time to take in the beautifully lit surroundings and grab a cup of tea at a local café.
