Night Cairo tour with Respect Egypt Tours

Feb 2026 • Friends

We had the absolute best experience with our guide, Reda. From the very beginning, she was warm, organized, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought so much depth and context to everything we saw, but explained it in a way that was engaging and easy to understand, not overwhelming. Reda struck the perfect balance between professional and personable. She made us feel safe, taken care of, and genuinely excited to be there. You could tell she truly loves what she does, and that passion made the entire experience unforgettable. She was attentive to our questions, mindful of our pace, and always one step ahead, whether it was navigating crowds, sharing historical insight, or making sure we were comfortable. Having her as our guide elevated the entire trip. If you get the chance to tour with Reda, take it. She was simply great.

A great guide working for a great tour company

The pre-tour customer service support was the best I’ve experienced for a day trip in a dozen years of travel – highly responsive and clear – including accommodation of my late modification to the itinerary. My thanks to Nada. My guide on a private tour to the GEM and Old Cairo Museum, Laila, is young but knows her subject matter and explains things well. Often with day trip guides you can tell that they know the script but are less comfortable with broader or deeper questions. That is not true of Laila. She has put in the homework needed to know Egypt’s extensive history. She really knows her way around both museums, too, which helped maximize my time. And she has a friendly, casual style that makes her comfortable to be with for a full day. I would not hesitate to request her for another tour. Our driver, Ayman, was excellent. He called me at the hotel the day before the tour to confirm the pick up time. I’ve never had that happen on any other tour. It was a nice touch. On the drive he was good at pointing out local sections of Cairo and landmarks, and was deft at getting off the main road and cutting through a residential section to pick up our guide (it was interesting to see neighborhoods up close).

Great trip !!

Our group of four had an excellent visit to Egypt in mid January, thanks to Respect Egypt Tours. We had built a custom tour for four family members to pick us up at the airport, secure visas, get around Cairo and Luxor, take us to all the must-see sites, and generally babysit us. This tour company exceeded our expectations. Our guides were Wael in Cairo and Ahmad in Luxor, both skilled, knowledgeable and very friendly. The Respect Egypt Tour coordinator, Nada, was more attentive before and during the tour than any I have ever worked with. We highly recommend this company to all who want some hands on when they visit Egypt.

Generally, the Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids takes place in the evenings although the season may dictate otherwise. As night falls between 7 and 9 pm, one is able to witness an entirely different spectacle with music and narration. Each show has a different display time based on the season.

Absolutely! Tanoura is a beautiful Egyptian folk dance that owes its origins in the Sufi heritage. Dancers perform wearing eye catching skirts that turn in fascinating patterns which is a feast for the eyes. You can experience this gorgeous art at Wekalet El Ghouri in Cairo which is a must watch.

Cairo has a variety of folk dances, but Baladi Dance and Tanoura seem to stand out. Baladi is an Egyptian folk dance that is translated from Arabic as country and reflects the spirit of Egypt. At the same time, the Tanoura is a distinctly Sufi form of Sufi whirling dance, which adds more color to the dance traditions of the region.

At Respect Egypt Tours, we ensure every journey is seamless and unforgettable. With professional guides, modern vehicles, and carefully curated tours, we make sure you experience Egypt’s treasures—whether it’s the Nile, a light show, or the magic of Wekalet El Ghouri—in the most comfortable and enriching way possible.
