Itinerary

You will have the most beautiful Top Places You Can See in Fayoum. We'll take you from your hotel by air-conditioned vehicle and head to Fayoum with your Expert Egyptologist.

📍 Wadi El Rayan
Wadi El Rayan is a protected area in Egypt overseen by the Ministry of Environmental Affairs. Coptic sources referred to it as a salt lake.

📍 Qarun Lake
The biggest lake in Fayoum is a prime spot for birdwatching and fishing. Additionally, there are many old ruins and temples near the lake.

📍 Tunis Village
Art, adventure, relaxation, swimming, and agriculture all come together in Tunis Village in Fayoum. It's known for pottery and hosts a World Pottery festival. Great for nature recreation.

Respect Egypt Tours will help you explore the narrow streets, visit local shops and workshops, and enjoy a traditional meal at one of the local restaurants.

📍 Karanis
Karanis was an ancient agricultural town in the northeast corner of Faiyum. Archaeologists estimated Karanis had a peak population of 4000 people. Augustus restored productivity in the area by cleaning up canals and dikes.

📍 Qasr Qarun
Experts believe this temple was built during the Ptolemaic era. The temple, made of yellow limestone, is mostly intact, although some parts have been restored and reinforced. No inscriptions exist to help date it more precisely.

📍 Mudawara Mountain
Mudawara Mountain is near Wadi El Rayyan Road, south of Al Fayyum Lake, about 150 km from Cairo. You can park on the road or drive across the desert to reach it.

📍 Wadi El-Hitan
The Wadi El-Hitan site has well-preserved fossils of early animals like sharks, crocodiles, turtles, and rays. The high concentration of fossils allows for a better understanding of the environment making it a heritage site.

After that, we will return you to your hotel in a modern A/C vehicle, hoping you had the best time with us.

Night Cairo tour with Respect Egypt Tours

Feb 2026 • Friends

We had the absolute best experience with our guide, Reda. From the very beginning, she was warm, organized, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought so much depth and context to everything we saw, but explained it in a way that was engaging and easy to understand, not overwhelming. Reda struck the perfect balance between professional and personable. She made us feel safe, taken care of, and genuinely excited to be there. You could tell she truly loves what she does, and that passion made the entire experience unforgettable. She was attentive to our questions, mindful of our pace, and always one step ahead, whether it was navigating crowds, sharing historical insight, or making sure we were comfortable. Having her as our guide elevated the entire trip. If you get the chance to tour with Reda, take it. She was simply great.

A great guide working for a great tour company

The pre-tour customer service support was the best I’ve experienced for a day trip in a dozen years of travel – highly responsive and clear – including accommodation of my late modification to the itinerary. My thanks to Nada. My guide on a private tour to the GEM and Old Cairo Museum, Laila, is young but knows her subject matter and explains things well. Often with day trip guides you can tell that they know the script but are less comfortable with broader or deeper questions. That is not true of Laila. She has put in the homework needed to know Egypt’s extensive history. She really knows her way around both museums, too, which helped maximize my time. And she has a friendly, casual style that makes her comfortable to be with for a full day. I would not hesitate to request her for another tour. Our driver, Ayman, was excellent. He called me at the hotel the day before the tour to confirm the pick up time. I’ve never had that happen on any other tour. It was a nice touch. On the drive he was good at pointing out local sections of Cairo and landmarks, and was deft at getting off the main road and cutting through a residential section to pick up our guide (it was interesting to see neighborhoods up close).

Great trip !!

Our group of four had an excellent visit to Egypt in mid January, thanks to Respect Egypt Tours. We had built a custom tour for four family members to pick us up at the airport, secure visas, get around Cairo and Luxor, take us to all the must-see sites, and generally babysit us. This tour company exceeded our expectations. Our guides were Wael in Cairo and Ahmad in Luxor, both skilled, knowledgeable and very friendly. The Respect Egypt Tour coordinator, Nada, was more attentive before and during the tour than any I have ever worked with. We highly recommend this company to all who want some hands on when they visit Egypt.
