Night Cairo tour with Respect Egypt Tours

Feb 2026 • Friends

We had the absolute best experience with our guide, Reda. From the very beginning, she was warm, organized, and incredibly knowledgeable. She brought so much depth and context to everything we saw, but explained it in a way that was engaging and easy to understand, not overwhelming. Reda struck the perfect balance between professional and personable. She made us feel safe, taken care of, and genuinely excited to be there. You could tell she truly loves what she does, and that passion made the entire experience unforgettable. She was attentive to our questions, mindful of our pace, and always one step ahead, whether it was navigating crowds, sharing historical insight, or making sure we were comfortable. Having her as our guide elevated the entire trip. If you get the chance to tour with Reda, take it. She was simply great.

A great guide working for a great tour company

The pre-tour customer service support was the best I’ve experienced for a day trip in a dozen years of travel – highly responsive and clear – including accommodation of my late modification to the itinerary. My thanks to Nada. My guide on a private tour to the GEM and Old Cairo Museum, Laila, is young but knows her subject matter and explains things well. Often with day trip guides you can tell that they know the script but are less comfortable with broader or deeper questions. That is not true of Laila. She has put in the homework needed to know Egypt’s extensive history. She really knows her way around both museums, too, which helped maximize my time. And she has a friendly, casual style that makes her comfortable to be with for a full day. I would not hesitate to request her for another tour. Our driver, Ayman, was excellent. He called me at the hotel the day before the tour to confirm the pick up time. I’ve never had that happen on any other tour. It was a nice touch. On the drive he was good at pointing out local sections of Cairo and landmarks, and was deft at getting off the main road and cutting through a residential section to pick up our guide (it was interesting to see neighborhoods up close).

Great trip !!

Our group of four had an excellent visit to Egypt in mid January, thanks to Respect Egypt Tours. We had built a custom tour for four family members to pick us up at the airport, secure visas, get around Cairo and Luxor, take us to all the must-see sites, and generally babysit us. This tour company exceeded our expectations. Our guides were Wael in Cairo and Ahmad in Luxor, both skilled, knowledgeable and very friendly. The Respect Egypt Tour coordinator, Nada, was more attentive before and during the tour than any I have ever worked with. We highly recommend this company to all who want some hands on when they visit Egypt.

Have a Question?

Memphis and Saqqara have a connection they are not the same first; Memphis was the oldest city and first capital of Ancient Egypt, a city of great importance in terms of culture and trade while Saqqara was its great cemetery, a huge area densely populated by burials of pharaohs and the nobility and well-known landmarks like the Step Pyramid of Djoser. these two sites speak about the earlier periods of the formation of the Egyptian dynasties, which gives the reasons to visit them while on an Egyptian trip!

Saqqara is famous for being home to the world’s oldest pyramid, the Step Pyramid of Djoser, designed by the brilliant architect Imhotep. But beyond that, Saqqara offers a treasure trove of tombs, artifacts, and intricate wall carvings that reveal insights into ancient Egyptian life. It's an open-air museum where history comes alive under the desert sky!

In ancient Egypt, Saqqara was the most important cemetery in the city of Memphis. Memphis, being the capital, meant having a nearby Cemetary where all the pharaohs and nobles could build their tombs. Such closeness guaranteed that even Saqqara would develop into an important center of religious and architectural activities, it would become a significant part of Egypt’s interesting history.

Not only was Memphis the capital of Egypt, it also functioned as the center of administration, religion, and culture for several decades. The pharaohs who ruled from Memphis transformed Egypt into a world power and did so with style, building impressive statues and monuments that bore their name. The sites of Memphis and Saqqara allow tourists to see Egypt at its early development stages and its splendid beginnings.

With Respect Egypt Tours, visiting the sites is just one part of what we do: we create Egypt for you to live in. Whether it is Egyptologists, A/C cars, or getting you to the hotels as you go along with your Saqqara and Memphis tour, everything is taken care of. When you travel with us, we carefully plan every step of the journey.

A visit to Saqqara and Memphis allows you to experience the birthplace of Egyptian architecture and discover the origins of the pyramid-building tradition. It’s an opportunity to walk through time, where pharaohs built their legacy and where colossal statues and intricate carvings still whisper the stories of a glorious past.
